LONDON (14 November 2016) – IHS Markit (Nasdaq: INFO), a world leader in critical information, analytics and solutions, today announced  winners of the IHS Markit 2016 Dredging and Port Construction (DPC) Innovation Awards. The awards presentation, held at London’s Marriott Mayfair Hotel on 10 November 2016, showcased the most innovative people and technologies from a pool of 60 finalists from across the industry.

“Congratulations to all the winners in the industry who took home an award,” said Lisa Maher, editor of IHS Dredging and Port Construction magazine. “The only challenge in having an awards programme such as this, is how tough it was to select the final winners from all the amazing entries.”

Chosen from more than 100 submissions, the 2016 DPC Award category winners, include:

    – Royal Boskalis, for Ndeavor and Ndurance.

  • Innovative Project Design: Open Water/Coastal Dredging:

  • Innovative Project Design: Inland Dredging:

    – Jan De Nul, engineered sediment for the construction of dykes.

  • Innovation in Port Equipment:

  • Innovative Project Design in Port Construction and Infrastructure:

    – HR Wallingford, noise modelling research project.

  • New Environments Award:

    – Royal IHC, Open permanent magnet motor for deep sea use.

    – Port Everglades, the Port Everglades upland mangrove enhancement.
